About the SportAPI basketball API
The SportAPI basketball API gives developers scores, schedules, box scores, standings and player statistics for professional, college and international basketball. It uses the same API key, rate limits and JSON conventions as the football API, so one integration covers both sports.
Live scores and game data
The games endpoints return every game on a date with status, the current period and clock, the score and points per quarter. While games are on, scores are refreshed every 5 minutes. After the final buzzer each game gets a full box score: minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, shooting splits and plus-minus for every player, plus team totals.
Standings, leaders and player stats
Standings include wins, losses, win percentage, games behind, home and away records, points for and against and the current streak, grouped by conference or group where the league uses them. League leaders rank players by points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks or three-pointers. Player profiles combine bio data with season averages and the last games played.

What the basketball API does not include
